I agree with ~4isling; it makes me think of coffee and warm coziness ^^ Did you use actual coffee for the stains or watercolor?
Regardless of whether it was coffee or watercolor, I like the textures you got using it them. The line quality is also very nice. The only thing I can suggest is to experiment with the line thickness. Glancing through some of your other pieces, it looks like you usually carry the same line thickness throughout the whole piece (you definitely did that here). By making some lines thicker than others, you can play more with the line quality and get even more interesting effects.
Thanks very much. Actually, other than the lines themselves, this is all entirely digital. It was a poor scan on rough paper, and then I adjusted the quality and dark/light factors and added the stains digitally. I'm so happy you actually thought it was real.
I will most certainly take your advice in to consideration in the future.
Ah. Since the textures are digital, I would advise you to change the category to digital media instead of traditional art, or state in your artist statement what you just told me. Because it was under traditional art I thought it was watercolor (or something similar). Since a critical element of the piece was done digitally, that should be stated so people viewing it aren't confused (and keeping that in mind for future pieces is also a good idea )
