"The Irish-American had entered the study and stretched his long limbs from the armchair. He was a tall, gaunt man of sixty, with clear-cut features and a small goatee beard which gave him a general resemblance to the caricatures of Uncle Sam. A half-smoked, sodden cigar hung from the corner of his mouth, and as he sat down he struck a match and relit it." - His Last Bow by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Basil Rathbone's Holmes disguised as Altamont from His Last Bow. Although, I say "Basil Rathbone's Holmes," when really, I could pretty much say canon Holmes because Rathbone's features are practically canon to me.
Somehow that "horrible goatee" doesn't seem quite as "horrible" as I meant it to... ah well, I'm just happy it actually looks like a goatee, at least, I think it does.
Just saying this was super fun to paint. I haven't painted like this in a while and I really enjoyed it, and I'm quite happy with how it turned out. I hope you all like it as well.
